I’ve been making simple stereo photos for a while, using the cross-eyed method. I did it with just a digital camera by manually shifting it side to side, portrait oriented. I then would print them side by side on 4×6 photo paper, as ‘half size images (4×3) and get two to a page. Sometimes I’d get the left and right ones ‘straight’ – which would reverse the images as ‘hollow’ seeming, I.e. Near is far and vs.vs. – interesting.
I’ve wanted to buy one of the antique ‘stereo-scopes’ but they have always wanted HIGH prices for them. (does anyone make cheap viewers today?)
Loreo does. They ship from Hong Kong. I ordered a few viewers from them, cardboard, and also the deluxe plastic with very heavy lenses. Pretty good quality and very low prices.
